The War heats up!

Just a quick one in the middle of the madness to say we are still on the case and Chris is drowning in editing! Back at mission control Mike is sorting bookings and magazine work! It's nuts busy (as we knew it would be!) and we may have lost a few pounds in weight (well I have, not sure about Chris) but we are still going strong. Had some great days in the sun, met some ace couples and taken thousands of photos, what could be better? Hoooooorah! over and out and will update when the battle slows a little.

April showers! (Thanks Freya)

Ok, I'm sorry it's been a while since I last updated the blog but life has been a mad rush as normal. I have had a small word with myself and it should be done a little more regularly now!.

What's been happening then? well the weddings have been coming in fast and furious which is great news. We have been busy most Saturdays already this year and have to say we are still enjoying them and meeting loads of great people makes it all the more worth while. Thanks to Justin and Liz who had a great day on the 22nd of March despite it blowing a hooley! (the guy on the top of the marquee was either mad or just very brave). We have photographed some cold days but that was freeeeeeezing and Liz is ARD AS NAILS!

Congratulations to Simon and Natalie on the birth of their daughter Freya. Thanks to Freya for the small accident in the studio! we will remind you of it when you are older.

Just to answer some questions that have been asked ......

1, We do indeed do story book albums as well as many others.

2, We will travel as far as London (it is the most boring drive in the world from Cornwall!!)

3, Yes we are all digital (this is the 20th century!)

4, We do always work together.

5, We will adjust price for week day weddings.

Not much else to report but thanks for taking a look at Christian Michael and please feel free to contact us either by phone or email and we look forward to hearing from you.

Last wedding of 2007

Well we ended on a great high at the Harbour Heights hotel in Poole, Dorset and the wedding of Nick and Nicole. We had a fantastic day with a great couple, their friends and family. Thanks to the staff at the hotel who looked after us so well,it was a great stay and we will be back!.Nicole, I am still laughing at from the memory of you telling your mum it was coke and not Guinness! and Nick, you have some great mates who were a pleasure to spend the day with, and how you got weather like that I have no idea!.

And so on to another season (after a brief new year hangover!). We have a couple of weddings in January and a then it goes mad! The booking season will start in earnest when everyone gets back to normal and thinks, "it's only XYZ months until the wedding!!" Let us know the date of your wedding when asking for prices so we can let you know if it's free.

A couple of moments from 2007...

Mike waking up in the car and screaming in blind panic "NO NO DON'T" to Chris who was overtaking on a blind corner but which was in fact duel carriageway although Mike had not realised.

Chris who let slip a totally inappropriate comment to a bride who happened to be kneeling in front of him (you can guess). I have never seen a man go so red despite the bride laughing her head off.Was a stunning example of brain connecting to mouth without being asked!.

Mike ordering a poster size print with graphics and spelling photography wrong (typing error!) Mike ordering 5000 business cards and miss typing photography again.

Model Claire's mum falling over some rocks to the amusement of us all and much laughter only to discover she had broken two ribs when she went to hospital the next day!.(we are sorry we laughed but it was quite funny at the time) x

Seeing one of our clients cry at the pictures of her children ( And yes it was because she liked them!) sounds fluffy but it was a genuinely warm inside moment.

Anyway................2008 awaits!!!.

Mike and Chris.

2008 !! (almost!)

Just a note to wish you all a very, very happy Christmas and newyear. Been a great (although slightly manic!) time for myself and Chris doing portraits in the studio and getting ready for next year. Have to say thank you to Clair for helping last minute by being our model for back cover of Wed magazine, Was all a touch rushed but as always Clair was on form and made life much easier for us and the shots were stunning (and thanks to Jonney for holding the over head light, you will get a certificate for completion of "light holders course part 1" in the post!)

Wedding wise we are looking forward to next year. Lots going on with the guys from A Perfect Choice in Carbis bay who are doing some competition and promo work and are always good to work with. We expect an influx of enquiries in Jan when everyone sobers up and starts to think about weddings again! We do have various dates free so it's worth asking although we did take alot of bookings in advance this year.

Once again Thank you to all our customers this year. We have mey some great people and had a huge amount of fun doing what we enjoy so could not have wished for a better 2007.

Mike and Chris. x

Congratulations to Tim and Sue xx

It's always nice to be asked to shoot a wedding where the couple are friends (of ours, not each other!). Congratulations to you both we enjoyed the day hugely and the pics will no doubt reflect the chilled, happy and mellow occasion that it was. Brides maids in black were stunning and Justin and Chris should be ashamed for laughing in church. Johnny should also be ashamed for A) being so small and feeble! and B) having your hand on the bottom of Lucy, Lyn's and George! in the shots of you.

Anyway, for the folks that have asked for more portrait pics (you really can tell crimbo is on it's way) we will endeavour to get some on site as soon as we have an hours or two free. Thanks to Eve who came along to last wedding as a third camera to find out what we were all about.

If you are thinking of booking portrait shots then please do it sooner rather than later as it's going to be a manic November and December (weddings all through as well) so we would hate to disappoint anyone leaving it too late.

Mike.

A little bit stunned and overwhelmed!

It's been what I can only describe as a wild month here at Christian Michael. We knew the site would be liked but it really has shocked us a touch. Had an average of five or six enquiries a day and from all over the country which is amazing for us both. Congratulations to a couple of our friends , Crisp and Kerry, Darren and Neets on the birth of their new baby boys!!

Thank you to our partners Sarah and Ayisha for being so patient as we spend hours shooting and editing in the studio way into the night and weekends. We appreciate you both a huge amount and promise to take some time out for a proper holiday next year! Honest!

Anyway Christmas is coming (sorry!) and it's time to think about portrait bookings for little ones and family alike. Give CM a call for prices and availability. We will put some more portrait shots on the site soon.In the mean time, thans for reading and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks for feedback!

Just a quick note from myself and Chris to say thanks for all the emails about the site, they are appreciated and keep them coming, good or bad.

We know that a few of you have had trouble with the music (in the Exeter area!) so all being well we can get that sorted out pronto.Other than that it seems to have gone down a storm!

The proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say and we have had an increase in our Weddding enquiries over the last ten days so we are delighted that we are getting out there to the masses (thank you Vera in America!). Thank you also to Trish and Amy from a perfect choice for helping us out over the last months. x
